How do I view the world around me? Well, that is a very broad question and to be honest I don't really know how I view the world because I just view it, I don't really think about how I do. Some people look around them selfs and might try to look for creative or unique scenes or circumstances, in some ways I would say that I do the same, although like Jonny was saying everyone views different things as beautiful or creative. When I go to a new place and look around I try to take everything in and explore the area. I try to look for possible conflicts in the area as well as cool unique things as well. So all in all I would say the way I view the world around me is looking for new things while taking in the common things as well.
What inspires me? Cool, another broad question, I am starting to see a trend here. I am inspired by people or things that are better/more experienced then me. I am not going to be inspired by someone who is not a moral person because immorality is not something I strive for. I am going to be inspired by someone/something that is kind, generous, moral and has good integrity, because those are the kind strive for. So I guess what I am saying is that I am inspired by great things that I strive for, if that makes sense.
Who inspires me? This goes back to my last answer that I am inspired by things greater than me. Like a lot of people my parents inspire me. Just seeing everything they have to go through and deal with is really humbling, I mean they have to go through life with me as a son, thats enough to inspire me already ;). Other people in history like MLK, Theodore Roosevelt and such really inspire me because they did the hard stuff to stand out from the crowd and because of what they did they are remembered and respected to this day.
How does my personality come out in my photography? Everyone's personality and creative view are unique. So how my personality comes out in my photography is going to be different than anyone else. I take pictures of things that I think are cool and interesting. And the way I view things that are cool/interesting is apart of my personality, so thats one way my personality comes out through my photos. Another is that I can show feelings and my mood by what I take photos of. Say that I am feeling sad or lonely, maybe I will go out and take pictures of nature and quite things to express that feeling that I have.
What are my hobbies? I have lots of stuff I like to do, hang out with people I like, watch movies, play games, that kind of stuff. But if I had any actual hardcore hobbies they would be: listening/playing music, traveling (I don't really know if this counts as a hobby or not), but really I don't have that much that I spend lots of time on constantly. Some people have hobbies like crafts, reading, legos, etc., but I really don't enjoy that kind of stuff that much, I guess I am just weird.
What type of photography interests me the most? I would say nature, landscape, buildings/cities and time-lapse. I like the first two because you can use lots of natural light in those I enjoy working with natural light, its just cool. I really really like photographing cities just because its fun to include all the life that goes on in a place and you can really show the feel of the place. I really liked photographing New Orleans on the Heartlife road trip last year because of all the cool buildings and people and showing that in the pictures I took. The reason I like time-lapse is it shows progression and life moving, while using one still image instead of video. Doing time-lapse is something I look forward to learning from Jonny this year.
Please excuse my bad grammar, thanks!
