- How do you view the world around you? I think this is a very brad question, because there is a lot of different ways to take it and I guess that I kinda in a way just did answer it by viewing that question in a certain way. When I am doing photography I view the world as kinda how it would be in a picture, like " would that look good in black and white" or "oh, that would look really cool if . . ."
- What inspires you? Again a very brad question. Generally I am expired by things that are better then me, like for example if I am doing soccer and there is someone that is much better at the game then I am they inspire me to do better and work harder.
- Who inspires you? If we are talking specifics my dad really inspires me. I am inspired by how hard he works for our family, how he is such a nice person and makes everyone feel important and cared for. He is really funny, which I love and is a all around great person. When I get older I would be horned to be like him.
- How do you see your personality coming through your photography? When I take pictures I look for things that I like, so maybe I really like doing stuff on my computer (surprise, surprise I am on it right now) I would look to try to find a cool way to portray it in a picture. Also somethings I take pictures of are just kind of weird and don't really make sense and that kinda reminds me of my self so there you go.
- What are your hobbies? Like I said before I like just messing around on my computer, you know playing games, doing research, watching videos. I don't know if this counts a a hobby, but I really like hanging out with friends and my sisters, yes believe it or not Im a 12 year old kid that gets along great with my two older sisters. I like most all sports except for boiling, I mean what's the point of paying 20+$ just to knock down plastic things with a ball and why would you want to even watch it on Tv because the people are so good they just get strikes every time, its discouraging. Although I would take photos of billing pins.
- What genre of photography interests you the most and why? I don't know if this is a genre, but abstract photography. I kinda like that abstract kind of stuff that you would see in a starbucks or something it pretty cool. I like taking photos of single objects that are small and unique like a playing card or soccer ball. I think its cool to take something small and simple like that, edit it and make it look really cool.
Grant William
You picked up some great stuff with your photographs on this assignment, Grant. I really dig your shot of the "ivory's." Terrific leading lines that help establish, for the viewer, where to focus and let their eyes run. Good use of black and white, as well. It adds dramatic visual appeal.
ReplyDeleteI really want to help you explore your interests as it pertains to focusing on a more abstract approach to photography. Having an area you are excited about and want to learn is the first step. Thanks for your work so far, as well as your interaction in class. You're doing a terrific job so far and I'm very excited to continue to work with you.
Grant William, or Yum Yum, what you said about your Daddy is quite inspiring. He is the greatest man I know and you will go far being like him! What you said about your sisters is precious. They are your best friends and always will be! And thank you for saying I'm your beautiful mother.
